Rogers Farmer’s Market Location Change

Eternal Spring Organics who is part of the Rogers Farmer’s Market will be selling their desserts indoors at the Rogers OMB building tomorrow. The Rogers OMP Building is located at 1 Mount Pleasant Road and the market runs from 2-6:30 pm Wednesday afternoon and will continue throughout the summer of 2009. Eternal Spring Organics features quality hand made organic desserts made with local ingredients. This is the second week that ES Organics will be offering – whole wheat and multigrain loafs, garlic baguettes, walnut and raisin bread in addition to their complete line of desserts.

As usual ES Organics will be selling the ever popular organic oatmeal raisin, and chocolate chip cookies, apple pies, lemon, apple and banana loafs, chocolate brownie tarts, organic ice cream, gooseberry and red current jam and much much more. Remember if you want to place an order for any desert that is on ES Organics dessert menu please email or call ES Organics at least 2 days before so we can have it ready for you to pick up at the market. Remember to come early for the best selection as we do tend to sell out of many of our popular items before the market closes.

Please note as of Wednesday July 22nd customers must pay 25 cents for paper containers for their food purchases if they do not bring their own reusable containers or use the reusable containers ES Organics provides. Here’s to changing the world with the food we eat! Hope to see you there.

Glen Alan founder of ES Organics has introduced a zero-waste policy in regards to their containers and as of Wednesday July 22nd customers must pay for paper containers for their food if they do not bring their own reusable containers or use the reusable containers ES Organics provides. Glen Alan performs with No Nonsense in Collingwood

Glen Alan performed with his Acappella Quartet No Nonsense on June 4th 2009 at J D’s Bar and Grill in Collingwood to a standing room only crowd for Dennis McAndrew’s retirement party. Dennis McAndrew was the quartet’s vocal music high school teacher that helped nurture the acappella quartet. The Quartet is well known in the area for its tight harmonies and unrivaled sound and has been together for over 15 years. The original members are Trevor Hanley, James Carson, Mike Hughes and Glen Alan. Dennis McAndrew made an impromptu saxophone solo on “One Fine Day” which added to the excitement of crowd seeing No Nonsense perform once again in their local stomping ground.

Dennis McAndrew, in his usual humble way said, “I really did nothing. These guys already had it.” Glen and his band mates know that this dynamic music teacher actually played a large roll in nuturing and encourage their passion for music. “I still remember bringing in the first acappella song I ever wrote apted entitled “Finding The Way” and Dennis taking the time outside of class to listen to it”, says Glen. Dennis said “I like it Glen – very cool, but I think you need a chorus here.” I was back the very next day with the chorus.
